- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and garlic powder. Stir in the olive oil and warm water until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 12 portions and roll each into an 8-inch rope. Fold in half and twist together before placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush each breadstick with melted butter and generously sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Season with Italian seasoning and black pepper before baking in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
