Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350° F (175° C) and prepare two round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- Cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition followed by vanilla extract.
- Gradually add milk to the mixture along with dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in strawberries and mangoes.
- Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes in pans for 10-15 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form for frosting.
- Frost cooled layers with whipped cream and top with fresh fruit before serving.
