Ingredients
- 8-10 slices of soft white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
- 8-10 slices of melting cheese (Cheddar, American, Monterey Jack, etc.)
- 4-5 tablespoons of unsalted butter (softened)
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, dried Italian herbs
Instructions
- Flatten the crustless bread slices using a rolling pin until about 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick.
- Place a slice of cheese along one edge of the flattened bread and sprinkle with optional seasonings if desired.
- Spread softened butter over each roll-up's surface.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the buttered roll-ups seam-side down in the skillet.
- Cook for 2-4 minutes until golden brown; flip and cook on the other side until crispy (total cooking time: about 5-8 minutes).
- Serve hot for maximum crispiness and melted cheese.
