- 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add molasses and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and place on the baking sheet with spacing.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until set but still soft; lightly browned on the bottom.
- Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack; roll in powdered sugar once cooled.
