Ingredients
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce (finely shredded)
- 2 tomatoes (diced)
- 1 onion (chopped, optional)
- 1 bottle of catalina dressing (16 ounces)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 15.5 ounces bag of nacho cheese tortilla chips (crushed)
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef (cooked and drained)
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned; drain excess grease.
- Mix in taco seasoning with water as per packet instructions.
- While the beef cooks, prepare the vegetables: shred the lettuce, dice tomatoes, and chop onion if using.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, and seasoned beef.
- Pour in catalina dressing and mix well.
- Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese.
- Just before serving, sprinkle crushed tortilla chips on top for added crunch.
