- 1/2 cup softened butter

- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 5 oz softened cream cheese
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 3 tbsp caramel sauce
- 3/4 cup imperial sugar powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tbsp imperial sugar white sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tbsp cold butter, cubed
- 1 green apple, chopped into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and both sugars until fluffy. Add the egg, concentrated apple juice, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour with spices, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chopped green apples.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on a wire rack.
- For frosting: Beat together cream cheese and butter until creamy; add caramel sauce and vanilla extract. Gradually incorporate powdered sugar and flour until smooth.
- Frost cooled cookies generously and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar topping.
