Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
- 3 cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 4 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Water, as needed
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced apples with light brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Toss until evenly coated.
- Flatten each biscuit slightly on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of apple mixture on one half of each biscuit.
- Fold over to create a pocket and seal edges firmly.
- Brush tops with melted butter and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar with vanilla extract and water for the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm turnovers before serving.
