Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk warm milk, melted butter, and egg together. Pour into dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over the surface.
- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle generously over the buttered dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log shape; cut it in half lengthwise to reveal swirls and twist both halves together.
- Place into a greased loaf pan and let rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Once cooled slightly, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread before serving.
