- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners or grease it.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, unsweetened applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
- Divide the batter among muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow muffins to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
