- 1 lb cheese tortellini
- 1 lb ground turkey or chicken sausage
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the cheese tortellini, and cook according to package directions until tender. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Remove sausage from casings, add to the pan, and break into pieces. Cook until browned (6-8 minutes).
- Create the Sauce: Add minced garlic to the sausage and cook for 30 seconds. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and cook until slightly thickened (3-4 minutes).
- Combine Ingredients: Reduce heat to medium-low, stir in Parmesan until melted, then season with salt and pepper. Toss in cooked tortellini and add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Enjoy hot!
