Ingredients
- 8 ounces of pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 4 ounces turkey strips
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook turkey strips until crispy (5-7 minutes). Remove and let drain.
- Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Add thawed peas and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually mix in Parmesan cheese until melted; adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Toss drained pasta into the sauce, coating evenly; season with salt and pepper.
- Fold in crispy turkey strips, reserving some for garnish if desired.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs if available.
