Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 eggs
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup additional cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, shredded cheddar, milk, ketchup, chopped onion, eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and shape into a loaf or spread evenly.
- Bake for 45 minutes until slightly pulling from edges and reaching an internal temperature of 155–160°F.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle additional cheese on top, then return to bake for another 10–15 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving with your favorite sides.
