- 4 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core each apple using a melon baller or small knife to create space for the filling.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add the egg and mix well before folding in graham cracker crumbs.
- Fill each cored apple generously with the cheesecake mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
- Place stuffed apples in a greased baking dish with water at the bottom for steaming. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
- Allow to cool slightly before drizzling with caramel sauce if desired.
