- 6-8 ripe fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for peaches)

- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed (for topping)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix sliced peaches with sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour into the baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter and milk; stir until combined.
- Spoon topping over peaches evenly.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
