- 1 (13oz) pack cajun chicken sausage (cut into coins)
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 (14.5oz) can chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 (10oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes with chilies
- 8 ounces dry bowtie pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp cajun seasoning
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the cajun chicken sausage until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the sausage and sauté chopped garlic in the remaining grease for about one minute.
- Add chicken broth, diced tomatoes, heavy cream, and cajun seasoning to the skillet; stir well.
- Incorporate dry bowtie pasta and cover; simmer on low heat for approximately 14 minutes.
- Once cooked, stir in the sausage and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
