- 1 lb ground beef
- 4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for creaminess)
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet; cook until the onion is translucent.
- Layer thinly sliced potatoes over the cooked beef in the baking dish. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top. Pour beef broth around the edges.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; then uncover and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
