- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Press the firm tofu for 15-20 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into bite-sized cubes.
- In a small bowl, mix together honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil for the sauce.
- Coat each tofu cube evenly in cornstarch for a crispy exterior.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the tofu cubes until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Return the skillet to medium heat, add the honey garlic sauce, and simmer for one minute before gently tossing in the fried tofu to coat.
