Ingredients
- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
- Salt and black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions (about 3-5 minutes) until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Sear the steak for 3-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from heat and let it rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and whole milk; stir and simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Gradually whisk in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Slice the rested steak and return it along with the cooked tortellini to the skillet, tossing gently for about 2 minutes to combine.
- Serve immediately with optional garnishes like parsley or red pepper flakes.
