Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants, sliced in half
  • 8 slices deli chicken (approximately 200g)
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese (or Gruyère, about 120g)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: 2 tbsp Dijon mustard and/or mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. If desired, spread Dijon mustard and mayonnaise on the inside of each croissant half.
  3. Layer each croissant with 2 slices of chicken and 2 slices of cheese before closing them seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. Brush the tops of the croissants with melted butter to ensure a golden finish.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
